Quickly word traveled to a merchant in Tanchico, a rumor that the "Aiel" as
they call them, lost Laman's Sword somewhere in the sands far to the east.
Seeing as I was the only available soldier at that time, I thought it my
duty to retrieve this blade and bring honor to the Empire, for it is said
to be an ancient weapon unmatched to date. I made haste through the
Oathbreakers southern borders and up the spine of the world to a narrow
pass that led through the rugged terrain to the wind-blown sauna the Sand
Dwellers call home. I met resistance every step of the way, and let me tell
you first hand...those dogs fight like cornered Torm and they're discipline
is uncanny. After a short skirmish, I suffered a serious wound in the gut
from one of their cursed spears and was forced to retreat. Little did I
know that a battle was being fought between some of the Oathbreaker's Elite
and those beasts that live far to the north, seemingly in my footsteps. As
the blood flowed from my wound down into a dried river of stones, I
realized that even though I was unable to secure Laman's Sword, my
blood...our blood trickled along the rocks and water, cold, clean water
emerged as if to verify our goals. With renewed vigor I urged my steed west
until it died, then took up running for I knew this was an important
vision, one I had to share with you all. But before I could topple the
steep slopes of the Spine, I was set upon by 6 of those foul beasts,
wounded as I was I, the world quickly went black. The Oathbreaker's they
feasted on before they came across me wasn't enough to quench their frenzy
apparently, but it would have to be...for the raven's flew me home.
The land knows its master's, it calls for us to bring down those who would
deny us what is ours. It yearns for the life we come to breathe into it,
and after seeing what has become of the east, I too yearn for our touch to
settle back on our land.
I believe the honor I sought to bring back, masked behind an infamous
weapon, was actually backwards...It was our honor I was to carry east and
prove to that part of our land that we have finally returned.
I hope you feel this brothers, our time is at hand
For the Glory of the Crystal throne!
