WHEEL OF TIME PRODUCTS

From dolls to music, jewelry to swords, Wheel of Time merchandising encompasses all sorts of oddities, some of which is excellent, and some of which, well, we just find absurd.

This Trolloc Plush Doll is, well, pretty special. Truly, this has to be one of the most ridiculous things that we've ever seen, and it caused endless hilarity on our forums when we first came across it. Of all the things out there, this just truly beggars belief.

Yep, you read right, Barbie has made it into the Wheel of Time too. actually, I have a little daughter myself, and I could definitely imagine her being very happy with one of these. Turns out that the creator of these dolls has received so much flak about them that you have to enter the site by giving your email - to see them, go to gallery 2 here.

Badali Jewelry Specialties, Inc. make silver, gold plated and gold plated with red antiquing dragon pins, replicas of those worn by the ashaman from the books. They also do the "dedicated" sword pin (ashaman raised to the level of dedicated in the black tower).

This replica heron-mark blade has been around for a few years now, and can be bought from several web-based replica weapons vendors, such as swordsofhonor.com, by-the-sword.com and reliks.com. Reportedly, these replicas are no longer in production as of end 2005.

Our verdict was that they're not much good - according to "Set", a player here at the Wheel of Time mud: "I bought that sword from museumreplicas.com about three years ago and still regret it. The tang is loose inside the hilt and the coated metal bits on the scabbard all fell off after 90 days (outside warranty, of course). It just feels cheap in my hand. I was pretty proud when I first dropped the money for it, my very own Heronmarked Sword, but now... I wish I had that $300 back for something that would last and be useful."

according to the vendor, thesteelsource.com: "The high carbon, fully tempered steel blade is wickedly curved and has a reinforced tip that can punch through mail. Nickel silver guard has an encircling serpent, and the pommel is set with a simulated ruby. The grip is wood, wrapped with brass wire." This product is no longer available.

Performed, produced, and written by Robert Berry, if you're hoping for an entrancing, enchanting, classical movie-theme type soundtrack then this evidently is not the record for you. You can buy it via amazon.

Randy asplund created the artwork for the Wheel of Time Card Game, and individual prints of this art can be bought from the artist. They do look striking, and would fill an empty space on an ardent Wheel of Time fan's wall very nicely. He does two versions for sale, 8 by 10 prints or larger originals.
