Mhaliah is ridiculously easy to get a stab off on, but for me near impossible to actually land a stab on.

Road Before the Gate
The town gate of Falme is to the west. It looks sturdy, but not impenetrable
in the event of a serious siege. It and the town wall are probably more of a
tool of the local guard, protection against bandits, rather than armies.
to either side of the gate however, there are open fields with evidence of
military drilling by forces much larger than a town militia. To the east
a rough, rocky road leads off into the hills of Toman Head.

The city gate is made of thick timbers and metal straps. It is probably not
sturdy enough to defy siege engines, but more than enough to control the
flow of civilians. New battlements are under construction as the Imperial
Army strengthens its hold.

The smell of horse manure is strong here, particularly in the afternoon when
the winds often blow inland from the west. Not supprisingly there is a large
stable to the west. To the east the city wall runs too close to the road for
any buildings to be built. To the north are the city gates, and to the south
the road continues along the wall into a quickly deteriorating section of town.

Inland Road
The city walls run along the east side of the road here, but the west side is
occupied by the charred remains of some abandoned building. The entrance and
windows are all boarded up, but there clearly is no roof or windows on the
second floor. Whatever the building was, it is clearly a total loss.

This end of town appears to be mostly disused, and most of the buildings on the

The street here is old and in some need of repair. Many of the cobblestones
are loose, and a few missing. One sits in the doorway of a guardhouse on the
the north side of the street, apparently used as a doorstop when the door is
open. The south side of the street is lined by the city walls. A large
warehouse is to the west, and to the east the road and the city wall make a
turn to the north.

Fish Market
This marketplace is full of many carts and stands, mostly selling fish. A
few sell other food items, in addition to fish. Most of the fishwives are
yelling for your attention, advertising their stock. Some of the fish are
fresher than others, so the smell of dead fish is often in the air.

Dock Road
Here at the south end of the harbor the dock road ends. Dead fish smell is
prominant here, with a fish market to the east and the fishing docks to the
west. Many of the buildings near the docks are boat houses, and to the east

Waterfront Square
This small square is the heart of the waterfront in Falme. Business seems to be
proceeding as usual, yet everyone seems to be looking over their shoulder for
something. People walk briskly, occasionally nodding to one another by way of
greeting, but never stopping to talk. To the west are the main commercial
docks. Dock Road follows the waterfront north and south, and Water Street leads
into the business district to the east.

Water Street
This street leading down to the water front from the main market area is the
busiest street in town during the day. On the north side of the street there
is a prosperous looking smithy, and on the south side a well kept inn. To the
east is Market Square, the center of commerce in Falme. The view to the west
allows you to see another square down on the waterfront, as well as the main
city docks, and a portion of the harbor. In the distance at the mouth of the
harbor you see a tower standing on the north bluff. It could only be Falme's
most renowned feature, the tower of the Watchers Over the Waves.

This small square is the heart of the waterfront in Falme. Business seems to be

proceeding as usual, yet everyone seems to be looking over their shoulder for
something. People walk briskly, occasionally nodding to one another by way of
greeting, but never stopping to talk. To the west are the main commercial
docks. Dock Road follows the waterfront north and south, and Water Street leads
into the business district to the east.

This street leading down to the water front from the main market area is the
busiest street in town during the day. On the north side of the street there
is a prosperous looking smithy, and on the south side a well kept inn. To the
east is Market Square, the center of commerce in Falme. The view to the west
allows you to see another square down on the waterfront, as well as the main
city docks, and a portion of the harbor. In the distance at the mouth of the
harbor you see a tower standing on the north bluff. It could only be Falme's
most renowned feature, the tower of the Watchers Over the Waves.

This inn seems to have undergone a hasty re-decoration. A few nice paintings
grace the walls, but there are several new paintings in an odd foreign style
as well as several places where paintings used to hang, and have not been
replaced. The bar is clean and well kept, and the plank floor is clean if
well worn. There is a large fireplace at the end of the room. The smell of
good cooking wafts from the kitchen.

Market Square
This square is clearly the center of comerce in Falme. Many shops, stands and
carts are here to choose from. The cobble stones are arranged in a spiraling
circular fashion alternating light and dark stones. To the north is Main Street
and to the west is Water Street, which heads towards the waterfront. East is a
general store, and wonderful smells of bread and pastries come from the bakery
to the south.

This street is well paved with cobble stones, which appears to be a good
thing given the number of wagons that use this street. Interestingly, it seems
that most of the wagons heading south are empty and most of the ones heading
north are full. To the south is a very busy square with a fountain, and to the
north is the intersection of Center Street and Main Street. To the east is
a cobbler's shop.

Running right through the center of town, this street is lined with small shops
and houses. Oddly, it looks as if several of the shops have been closed despite
the fact that they appear to be in good repair. To the west is Main Street, and
to the east Center Street continues.

utilitarian, probably guard barracks. On the south side of the street is

The town gate of Falme is to the west. It looks sturdy, but not impenetrable

in the event of a serious siege. It and the town wall are probably more of a
tool of the local guard, protection against bandits, rather than armies.
to either side of the gate however, there are open fields with evidence of
military drilling by forces much larger than a town militia. To the east
a rough, rocky road leads off into the hills of Toman Head.
