Fade quests I remember

Ickmund contest among trolls. He defeated gruarth in the final after gruarth missed a berserk stab.

Dorgo was faded at 1k qps not 1500 like everyone else. Also with no quest.

Snorrakk had to kill a ars/warder mob with tv guards somewhere around andor.

Dc orginal quest was to get the baerlon key which was failed. 2nd quest was a snob near wb that he died on but one of the trolls got out with scalp. Dc also found the original diamon tipped lance in shadar logoth.

Mangler killed falme city head.

Weaver killed illian cityhead

Stomp killed fd

Track killed maradon

Contagions quest was kill kerrigan. He was defaded for deleveling as a result of unfair treatment around the chosen clan. He was declanned because he did not meet the 500 tp min when others were left clammed well below the mark

Dagres quest was walk falme to tkd without dying or losing your group member. Nolocates and vials were not allowed, stomp was the groupmate on his master quest.

Weaver quest was like Tracks. He had fades fade him into Illian. He was the reason that was taken away. Between him and Track, Fade quests became closer to they are today. I think Stomp was the reason FD was removed as a Fade Quest city (because it is so easy compared to the others). Not really players fault. You'd think they'd have considered this stuff before giving the quests.

DC was Ragnar the IF smob. Everyone died but Jaster or Zork, who ran the head or key north so he was faded.

I kind of remember Dagre's. As I recall, very few people were on at the time, possibly very late at night. Probably had as much to do with luck as skill, as I don't think he was allowed vials, so absolutely no one seeing them walk up Old Road (before northern Misties existed) was a big plus.

We actually failed fd 5-6 times because of bad luck. Ie getting hit walking in and crushed by callmob. Also we lost it when a solo human defended agelmar I think it was gabino or one of the uber dodgers of the day.

Fd was one of the cities on the original list. The idea being each city was removed to make it harder to fade. Maradon was removed after track and fd after I took it. Track and I had been racing todo fd since the other wouldn't be able to. Some point down the road rules were changed to a new set of rules.

Edit differs is dodgers

I was the original taker of Cairhien, and I wore the Cairhienen king's crown for months after taking the city.

I killed Langois for my ta'varen kill.

I killed Nargus for my sei'taer kill. - It was one of the best logs I've ever had.

Nargus kill was not accepted, so I killed Fantus.

I know I was a fade when I graduated high school, which was in 2002. Dunno when I faded. It was probably in 2001 at some point.

-------------------------------------------

Jaster and I both lived (the only 2 survivors) of DC's successful quest - as Madin pointed out - at Ragnor.

-------------------------------------------

When Zork clanned in ko'bal, Gruarth and Mendoze were still trollocs. After both faded, Ko'bal was left with no master. Skarn, Jinx, Jaster, Burzon, and I were pitted against one another in a quest to be jumped up to mastership. The quest involved gaining points for the number of rank 5+ members of other trolloc clans we could kill before being killed ourselves. If we were killed (by a rank 5+ member of another clan), we were removed from the competition. Whoever was still alive and had the most points at the end of the time limit was mastered.

I won by a very small margin over Jaster, and there was a debate as to whether I was elligible due to dung wording by the imms in the original rules. While killing Slaydak, Stomp (a < rank 5 Dhai'mon) stabbed me dead. I won because he was too low a rank to participate.

-------------------------------------------

I won the global "Orb" quest with the help of Kesumi (then a child of the light darkfriend), and I was awarded with a unique set of abs that added up to 87% abs.

At the time I had the Sword of Kirukan. With the Kirukan, a Fade Shirt, and the unique abs, I was able to pull 220 ob, 185 pb, 125 db, and 85% abs. Also, this was while fades had attack with swords.

It was just plain stupid.

-------------------------------------------

When I took my first hiatus I was Reaver 2nd at 15k+ tps, while Dagre was still 5k ahead of me. When I came back 1.5 years later, I was decayed to <500 tps.

-------------------------------------------

To my knowledge, Dagre and I are the only darkside characters to have used the dice at DWC to split eq on multiple occasions - namely multiple herons that we got while raiding together.

-------------------------------------------

I have always made it a point to gather weird items and hold them. I roleplayed a gleeman for a long time, always carrying around a lute, gleeman's juggling balls, etc, and wearing gleeman badges on my belt.

At other times I would have crystalline rods.

-------------------------------------------

I embraced the oilskin bag phenomenon to a degree that not even tower channelers could match. I was known as the smobber fade. I was more likely to kill a smob with a bag for an interesting item to hold (rare angreal, etc) than for a heron.

-------------------------------------------

Co-founder of Teams SteveZ and BerZORKer

-------------------------------------------

There are probably other things about my character. Dunno what kind of info you're looking for to put in [] next to our names.

I was dhai'mon master already when I killed you zork. This lead to me nearly being declanned for interefering in the quest. I was originally docked qps but later got them back after saying I was not going to let someone in my clan die to another troll.

Also best part of that kill was I sent you a tell instead of slaydak saying I was coming to kill you.

You sure about when you faded Zork?

I have a log from 2003 where you were killed with your Kobal pelt, and using your Kobal master dagger.

Dunno. I'm pretty sure I was faded before I went to college in Fall 2002.

I clanned Talon that Fall on Tolin, and I'm pretty sure I was already a fade.

It's been forever, though, so I may be a year off.

I faded sometime in August or September of 2000.

I was the first Dha'vol Master who obtained the position by actually getting to 1k qps.

My fade quest was done by Eileen and it involved me walking around Shadar Logoth for like a week figuring clues out she'd left for me, it turned out she'd broken the last part of the quest, hence it taking a week. At the end of the quest I found my fade/master weapon Darkness the Blackened Blade of Shadar Logoth.

I was the sole survivor of the Tar Valon raid.

I was one of like 3 survivors of the second Tar Valon raid, which was lead by myself, DC and someone else (darkraver maybe).

During my first tenure as a fade it took 10 heads to get 1 qp for chosen. Snorakk, Eleanor, and myself were the only 3 people to make it passed rank 1 under this system (while i was active)

I got a 30 day no shout in December of 2000, by Elajh, for shouting "I love chicken!". I decided that if I was going to be no shouted for a month I would kill myself to level 30 and exp back to 51 so I would have something to do. So I killed myself to level 30 and logged on the next day as a trolloc. It was decided that deleveling ones self was "unbecoming" of a fade.

I took a six month break and came back in the middle of 2001 at some point. It was then that the "Refade Noikor" club was started. A month later Nass decided to give me a quest for a shot at refading myself. My quest was to kill a PC sitter of the tower (when there were like 5 in the game) within 1 year game time.

Less than 30 mins after getting assigned the quest Orenda was dead and I was refaded!

It was during my refadedness that I nearly solo'd the Cleaver quest during a mob raid on Tar Valon. I got all the keys necessary to unlock the vault, but when i showed up and opened the door, Cenae was sitting inside the room with a bunch of warder mobs. It turned out Mogrash was drunk and on his imm and pissed off that I was soloing the cleaver quest, so he determined that by taking advantage of a mob raid i was "cheating" so he had ported cenae into the last room to prevent me from completing it. He then teleported to my room and removed all the keys from my inventory.

Shortly after this incident I began to take advice from my good buddy Kinez, he had determined that we could just kill Dreadlord J, Morgase and Maeltor for tons of phat loot. So after farming the 3 of them 50ish times each, Aennor stepped in and defaded me, but we did get to keep the loot.

Turned back into a trolloc i rejoined the Dha'vol and started working towards Fade again. After getting to 1400 qps I took 2-3 month break over the spring of 2005, i came back declanned and level 10. It had turned out Jestin had my pw from having to rent me once when i'd had to go LD (when LD rent just ate all your loot and loot actually mattered). He had logged me on while I was away, and Maddoc decided that made me a "shared" character and zapped/declanned me and put a note on my character saying I could never fade again.

Over the next several years i rejoined Dha'vol again, worked my way up to fade reqs again. Got to 1500 qps and 500 alt qps. Mailed myrddin. Got told to go firetruck myself. Was informed that I would need to make a new character if I wanted another fade. So I quaffed a tinful and walked into the pit of doom, automatically fading myself. So i walked around for a day as a fade and when Myrddin next logged on he defaded me for the 3rd time.

I've killed you as Argayle along with Salyn on Lugard road when we were both bonded. That must have been as late as atleast 2003

Zork was a trolloc as late as 12-14-2003.

I was the 3rd! I always had a way to survive quests that were made to be doomed. I was however the only one who walked the 4k-->WB-->GF--> and so forth home.

You did leave out a big detail of your past. You once chased a level 9 into throne room of Caemlyn to kill him and you did. However they had changed the door to lock and you died like a newb. Luckily you had me on lside to loot you and return your "phat loot". This was in like 00'
Hahaha

Scrat was before me. I was before Sazi by a few minutes. I was also before Foil, Haznak, and Kwaji.

Zangief, you and Otzo were pretty much the same time. You both did Morgase within 1.5 hours of each other and we had to sit around inside caem throne for a while because we re-hit too soon.

Shzrei was before phreak and tyrex. I think before lormor/trauma as well.

I don't think I remember a Jaster trolloc, so I think he was before Hress.

Weird. Maybe I was ready to fade before I went to college and the whole ta'varen/sei'taer thing firetruck me over enought to keep me for that long.

I thought for sure I was already a fade when Tolin clanned in late 2002.

5. There is no need for anyone besides a Ko'bal member to proceed west into the keep towards Master H'Krreth at any time. If you use the dreadlord to arrive, do not go west past s 2w of the well. If you enter through the pass, do not go west of n w 3n of the entrance.

You have been shown hospitality, and you are expected to obey what little rules we have specified, unless given permission or shown no other option from human infiltration.

Zork, the Elite Master Havoc

As of August 2003, he was still a master Kobal.

I was pretty sure Mogg was before El, but that might just be 'cause Mogg was a known DF for so long.

I have also always remembered it as Neverborn being raised fourth, after the hunt for the seals. Gol, Stink and Smasher was all raised at the same time as a first batch, all from Ko'bal.

In the trolloc competition we had, I was using 1h axes / dodge / bash after a rare practice reset. I could not kill dung with this, and I had Chandies troll to kill, whatever that name was (edit: Raul?). So I kept to myself, not revealing myself, hoping for another practice reset.

Funnily enough, no-one tried to kill me either. After quite some time we got that reset and I went back gleaming / kick. At this point Chandie had cleaned house, and I had gained his trust. In the biggest brainfart ever I let him out of FD when I had him trapped there batt, and he ran to safety. After not being able to take me down even with a mob as support, he stopped logging on, renting if I was on.

Some time passed, and I ripped to some humans in blight. At this point in time it was a rare occasion due to dodge being that overpowered, and I was resting up GK afterwards. We're talking batt maybe, nekkid. Resting. Gru had gotten me my gleaming back, so I was totally happy with him. BAM! Missed zerk stab. Had no idea he was even in the competition!

I ran, waited out no-quit and managed to rent. Turns out there's the 3 of us left, and once revealed Gru knows that stab won't be easy to get off, so he pretty much stops logging on as well. After like a month or so I'm given the title, without killing anyone in a last-man-standing faceoff... weird.

Borderguards
1. Mentos (or something like that, Goliath I belive it was)
2. Regos (aka me, like a day after)

Don't think I ever saw Mentos online. Don't think I saw another recruit while I was there either. Was a pretty boring clan at the time.
