When you are starting out in an online world such as this, it is genuinely more fun to start with a friend or two at the same time. You will have adventures and fun together, it will be easier to level as a group, and it is always very nice to have someone nearby who can help you out in case your lantern runs out or you run out of water! Whilst being on your own should not stop you from starting as there will be people in the game just like yourself looking for groups, we would always recommend that you also take some friends along to help each other and to explore the world together.
