The benefit of the 'whips' group of weapons is that the weapon hits all attackers as opposed to most weapon classes which only hit one attacker at a time.
Many of these can be used in conjunction with the backstab skill if the conditions are met. Some shortblades can also be thrown.
In additional to some individual non-projectile weapons which have a "thrown" flag set, these can be all be thrown.
Please note, the immortal staff can and do make changes to weapon stats when and if this is considered neccessary. We do try and minimise such changes though so that weapons don't just change all the time for no reason. Whilst this list is correct at end March 2008, you should always doublecheck these items in the game. The "Dam" statistic refers to the maximum possible damage roll that can be achieved by an unhoned weapon.
